HiDDNS (www.hik-online.com) is a dynamic domain name service provided by Hikvision to their customers for the past years. This service makes it possible to access video surveillance cameras directly from mobile devices. Due to an increased number of registered devices and in order to keep up with today's technology, Hikvision is happy to announce a new extranet access service: Hik Connect, a cloud based platform. The original dynamic domain name service and alarm push notification are integrated and retains within this new platform.
This means that the current HiDDNS (www.hik-online.com) is going to be discontinued in a few steps, see below

1.

December 30th 2016

  • HiDDNS user account registration and login are blocked.
  • The HiDDNS function is not affected. Users can still access each device by domain URL or via iVMS-4200/iVMS-4500 client software.

2.

February 16th 2017

  • New devices can no longer register via current HiDDNS platform.
  • Already registered devices can still use the HiDDNS function.

Due to this change, all our customers using the HiDDNS service need to convert to the new Hik Connect. Hikvision will do its utmost to assist all customers to change smoothly to this service. Be kindly noted that third-party DDNS service (DynDNS, NO-IP and PeanutHull) can still be used for Hikvision cameras and recorders.
Please feel free to contact our local technical support team or email [email protected] for assistance.
We do apologize for any inconvenience due to this convert and thank you again for your continuous support.

Kind regards,
Hikvision Europe
