How do I set up my device correctly for remote access?

You can easily set up remote access by following the Quick Guide for Remote Access.
Remote connection may fail if one or more ports from the router are closed.

The following ports should be forwarded to your device:

HTTP port: 80
RTSP port: 554
SDK port: 8000

To check if the ports are open you can use this tool to check your external IP address and detect open ports on your connection. It is useful for finding out if your port forwarding is setup correctly or if your server applications are being blocked by a firewall.

Note: For security reasons we strongly recommend NOT to use DMZ mode
